Witcher 2, Crackdown, and More Among New Xbox One X Enhanced 360 Games

5
Beginning today, four incredibly popular games from the Xbox 360 will be receiving graphical enhancements for Microsoft’s newest premium console, the Xbox One X.

The four games that will be receiving this update are The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Forza Horizon, Fable Anniversary, and the original Crackdown. Each of these titles will now be able to be experienced at a greater resolution along with a pixel count that is nine times more than that of the original game. This along with a variety of texture improvements and antialiasing makes for the best graphical experience made possible for these games on a console.

The addition of these four titles now brings the list of Xbox One X enhanced 360 games to eleven. Other Xbox One X enhanced games include Fallout 3, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Gears of War 3, Skate 3, Assassin’s Creed, Halo 3 and Mirror’s Edge. If you have an Xbox One X, it will automatically enable the graphical enhancements for these titles though you are able to revert back to the original graphical settings if you so choose.

Microsoft continues to expand and improve its Xbox ecosystem by making older titles like these relevant years after their original release. Alongside the 11 Xbox 360 games now improved for Xbox One X, Microsoft has 460 backward compatible Xbox 360 games and 13 Original Xbox games available for play on Xbox One.

Ninja What's the point in enhancing them? Are they just trying to get an extra dollar for a gane that died ages ago? I feel like if they just enhanced them full stop it would just be perfect.

So they're up-to-date with the consoles we're using. Id rather not have some 360 graphics on an Xbox one.

Craig Oh boy did i have some fun when the original Crackdown came out back on the 360. Holy crap that brings back some memories. I'd love to play that again.

This is your chance and people wonder why older games are better. I'm hyped for this.

It may be great, but it's not worth the price tag of the Xbox X imo. Maybe in a year or 2.

I want to know what they are doing to "enhance" the experience. It's not like they will bring out new textures so I would assume upscaling of some sort? It's really good though that they are doing this though. MS are really making some good steps forward here.

Fallout 3? I'm actually crying.

I love that game so much.
