EA Play Returns to Hollywood Ahead of E3 2018 this June

4.3
For the past two years, publisher Electronic Arts has opted to have their own event known as EA Play where they showcase their upcoming slate of games on their own rather than attending E3. This year, EA will be doing that once again.

Electronic Arts today revealed their plans for EA Play 2018 where the show will again be occurring at the Hollywood Palladium. Like last year, the event will run for three days beginning on Saturday, June 9 and concluding on Monday, June 11.

What’s interesting to note so far is that the current plans for EA Play 2018 don’t specifically mention any sort of opening press conference, which has become the typical manner in which the event kicks off every year. This doesn’t mean that a press event won’t be happening, though, and EA might not be announcing specifics until closer to June. The description for the event does however say, some of the biggest global community creators in the world will be sharing early game footage and live streams directly from the show floor for players viewing from home.”

As far as what games will be at EA Play 2018, fans can expect to see the typical new slew of EA Sports titles like Madden and FIFA, The Sims 4, the new Battlefield game that has been confirmed to release this year, and also the highly-anticipated Bioware action game Anthem which was recently delayed until 2019. All of this, plus a few surprises are what has been confirmed so far.

If you’re going to be in Los Angeles area in June and want to attend EA Play 2018 yourself, then you’ll have the opportunity to get tickets later this spring. The event is free to get into so you shouldn’t have to worry about spending any money. And if you’re watching EA Play from home, there will no doubt be plenty of surprises for you as well.

Excited to see Xbox at E3 this year, hopefully some great games coming.

E3 is one of those events that I'd love to attend one year. But seems a bit of a treck for me. Eh maybe one year...

KyloCrux God I hope the new battlefield is modern. So over the past generations of games. Had BF1 and ww2. Over it.

I feel like it will most likely be ww2 if they follow the timeline. It would be awesome to have it back to modern though.

Well apparently they are announcing this before the E3 lol so that will be interesting.

Battlefield will probably stay modern imo. It's based around actually war-like stuff

Well, I just hope not lol, really wanting them to bring back some old school.

they want their conference to be more hyped rather than just a publishing team at E3. Cant wait to see what we have in store for EA this year, Cant wait to see some gameplay and news for the new Battlefield.
