PUBG developer promises to share development roadmap soon

If you follow PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds regularly, you’ll have noticed that it’s been a while since developer PUBG Corp shared an update.

Outside of discussing the cheating epidemic, PUBG Corp has not revealed what its plans are for the game outside of implementing new anti-cheat tech.

There’s been no big changes, either in balance or in gameplay mechanics since hitting 1.0, and players are running out of patience. Especially when they see Fortnite developer Epic Games communicating on an almost weekly basis with the game’s community, and being really reactive.

Someone at PUBG Corp is listening, thankfully, and according to community manager Sammie Kang, the team is currently drafting a roadmap for what’s to come in early 2018. Kang promised to share this roadmap with the community “soon”, as soon as the details have been finalised.

“It’s about time we update you on what’s happening and where things are at,” she said on Twitter.

In other PUBG news, the game saw its first ever drop in player numbers since it launched in March last year. After months of growth, the last 30 days registered a decline of around 2%.

Mike Good to have a idea of what's next

sure is, roadmaps are great for keeping the community updated and hyped for whats next to come. Battlefield has done it with all their DLCs in their games keeping the players known of what DLCs and when they'll release.

It's a great idea if they are sure they can deliver on time. Which i have high hopes for them that they can.

Pffffft, PUBGs delivering in time.. that's a joke right? XD

Mikey I really feel PUBG gonna have to do something big, defiantly new map, and guns like you guys said, as it looks like more players are going over to Fortnite now.

They already released a map not too long ago though, but im not saying another map wouldn't hurt. But for sure im hoping for new weapons, something better than what we have already.

I'd like to see new guns, new maps ect. The game has defo stabled out over the past 6 months but there are still some major bugs in this game. For example, I can't go a day without having to reconnect since it would just black screen on me. But, little bugs here and there is no big deal to me. Still a great game.

I have PUBG on PC but will they ever release it on PS4 is the real question..

22q I'm happy to see them keep improving there game even after ful release

I sure hope developers keep updating games after full release. Developers can never 100% bug free a game so they'll have us players help them out. Glad to see these guys doing it so frequently though. Usually takes developers 3 weeks or a month to push out an update for their games.
