Overwatch Getting Yet Another Free Weekend Across All Platforms

4.3
Okay, let’s say that you haven’t picked up Overwatch yet. Number one, you’re missing quite a party – Blizzard even managed to build an entire league around the game. And number two, if you can’t afford it, we understand. But now you’re going to get another chance to try it out on the house.

Blizzard announced on its blog page today that the game will be available for another free play weekend, starting on February 16 and running through February 19. This will be for all platforms, including Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

“Attention, recruits!” the blog reads. “If you haven’t already had the opportunity to suit up and save the world as one of the heroes of Overwatch, now’s your chance.”

It continues, “For this free weekend, we’re making Overwatch’s full roster of 26 heroes and 16 maps available for play in a variety of modes, including Quick Play, Custom Games and the Arcade. Players will also have the ability to level up, earn Loot Boxes, and unlock a variety of different customization options.”

Like with previous free weekends, any progress that is earned over the course of the free trial weekend will be automatically carried over to the full game once it is purchased. No word yet if Blizzard will have the game on sale over the weekend, but we don’t see why not, especially since it’s such a huge draw for players that become addicted to the game.

The beta will kick off on February 16 starting around 11:00 AM PDT, and will conclude on February 19 at 11:59 PM PDT. That gives you three and a half days to enjoy everything that Overwatch is all about. A more specific launch schedule for other countries (yes, the free weekend is worldwide) can be found here.

This is a good chance to get caught up in the action, just in case you haven’t been able to check it out before. And who knows, you might just come back for more, especially with the Game of the Year Edition making the rounds. We'll see you at the party this weekend!

Overwatch is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Specialize If you haven't played overwatch then you should try the free to play weekend, its worth it.

Probably the whole 7 billion people on Earth have played it for how many times they've done a free weekend play. Im still shocked to see the game is full priced at $79.99 CAD, games been out for 2 years and its losing player count, When will they put this game on sale or drop the price.

Yes, overwatch is an amazing game. It is fun to play and a really good way to pass the time. If you have not played it, give it a shot. I definitely think you will end up picking it up. Well worth the buy in my opinion.

Always wanted a campaign towards this game to get to know all the characters, get a backstory behind the enemies, all that fun stuff. Wonder what they have up their sleeves though with all these free weekends, love to see them giving back to the community though. Free crates would be better though
