Monster Hunter World Shipments Pass Six Million Units Worldwide

Capcom just officially announced in a press release that shipments of the recently-launched action RPG Monster Hunter World have passed another milestone.

To be more specific, the game is now over six million units worldwide including both shipments to retailers and full-game digital downloads on the PlayStation Store and on Xbox Live.

This also means that the title is the fastest Monster Hunter game to reach six million shipments in the long history of the franchise.

Just a few days ago, we learned that Monster Hunter World passed 1.5 million units sold at retail in Japan in only two weeks, and it’s also the main Monster Hunter release with the highest debut attach rate in the country (despite the fact that it did not launch on a portable platform).

On top of that, it passed five million units shipped worldwide in only three days, but apparently, the train is not about to stop just yet.

True, but if you compare it to nothing its still got no target. I do still need to get it.

other games have sold way more than this worldwide on its three day release but still great to see so many people like this game. Waiting to see the results at the end of the month.


to be honest. I believe call of duty has done this on multiple releases... GTA as well.
