Monster Hunter World Shipments Pass Six Million Units Worldwide

3.8
Capcom just officially announced in a press release that shipments of the recently-launched action RPG Monster Hunter World have passed another milestone.

To be more specific, the game is now over six million units worldwide including both shipments to retailers and full-game digital downloads on the PlayStation Store and on Xbox Live.

This also means that the title is the fastest Monster Hunter game to reach six million shipments in the long history of the franchise.

Just a few days ago, we learned that Monster Hunter World passed 1.5 million units sold at retail in Japan in only two weeks, and it’s also the main Monster Hunter release with the highest debut attach rate in the country (despite the fact that it did not launch on a portable platform).

On top of that, it passed five million units shipped worldwide in only three days, but apparently, the train is not about to stop just yet.

Compared to best sellers like GTA this is nothing, However, for what it is and the fan base, it's not bad either!

Mike That's Crazy can't believe they sold that many!

other games have sold way more than this worldwide on its three day release but still great to see so many people like this game. Waiting to see the results at the end of the month.

to be honest. I believe call of duty has done this on multiple releases... GTA as well.

KyloCrux This game is blowing up and I still don't know if I wanna commit to buying it. I don't really like 3rd person games.

Neither do I. I am going to wait until my friend buys it and see what he thinks.

Wasn't it just at 4 million shipped worldwide like 3-4 days ago. Hopefully they keep this up and they'll be at 10 million in no time
