Activision Confirms Next Call of Duty Is by Treyarch

During Activision Blizzard’s fourth quarter financial conference call, the publisher confirmed the developer for the upcoming Call of Duty game.

According to the company’s prepared remarks, the next chapter of the saga coming this year (in Q4, which means between October and December as usual)) will be developed by Treyarch, which is the studio behind the Black Ops series. We also heard that Activision “can’t wait to share more” during future conference calls.

The latest Call of Duty game developed by Treyarch was Call of Duty: Black Ops III in 2015. If you’re unfamiliar with the game, you can enjoy our review. It wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely good.

Treyarch also worked on Call of Duty Black Ops in 2010 and Black Ops II in 2012, alongside helping with the ports of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Ghosts.

This means that Activision is sticking with the three-year development cycle that sees Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games, and Treyarch alternating at the helm of the Call of Duty franchise.

Ninja Black ops 4 I personally think will be incredible. I wish that it was like bo3. Jumping etc. I loved the movements.


BO3 was ok for about a week, then the game got aids. I couldn't stand the movement personally.


BO3 was the best cod since previous generation titles. Loved it. Hoping it's better;)

Nik My mind cant calculate in my mind how this will carry on? Yeah it's cool and all of that that thee will be a cool CoD but yeah we gotta see more updates on this headline. More interested in the Prestiges, Killstreaks, etc.. you get my point.

I almost became a retard after reading this.

But hopefully we get to see better killstreaks and camos in this new cod, WW2 really struggled to impress me with these especially for chrome camo, was the biggest disappointment ever.

Well, it's been dying for awhile now since people are finding it too repetitive but I can't blame them, it's mostly the same game every year but new weapons, story, and the odd new features they like to add in. Hopefully we'll see something new and amazing this year


ehh they are really just making up stuff that literally a 5 year old could think of, it seems like they dont put THAT much time into these games anymore like they used to. Cod4 and MW2 had so much time put into those games to make it perfect. That is why I love those so much. But yeah the next one will be a cooy and paste game with different guns and maps....
