Xbox Game Pass to Include All First-Party Exclusives Going Forward

4
Xbox Game Pass subscribers going forward will receive all Microsoft Studios titles at the same time that they launch in other storefronts according to the company. This means that titles like Gears of War 4 will be available on the very same day as other outlets as opposed to a year later on Game Pass.

Microsoft noted that the first game to launch on Xbox Game Pass as well as physical and digital stores will be Rare’s Sea of Thieves on March 20th. Other titles like State of Decay 2, Crackdown 3 and the next games in the Halo, Forza and Gears of War franchises will also be included.

Xbox Game Pass is currently available for $9.99 and allows access to a library of 100 titles on the Xbox One for an entire month. Though some games may be removed from the library and new ones added over time, it’ll be interesting to see how this approach clashes with future Microsoft Studios games being available on the service.

Regarding whether Xbox Game Pass could come to PC, Xbox boss Phil Spencer told The Verge that, “I have been on public record saying I want people to play the games they play on the devices they want to play them on. So stay tuned. We’re not announcing anything today other than our biggest games will launch on retail date into Game Pass, but I like your thinking.”

2019 That's different. Sorta like netflix ig. But for games

it is that in a way but picture Netflix with shitty ass movies and tv shoes with 1-2 movies that you like. This is what Game Pass is ATM. Terrible games that no one plays and that odd game that makes people want to buy this.

Glad to see them bring this, what an awesome idea.

Ryoko This will be useful to test the game before buying if you are on the fence with some of their titles.

thats actually a really great point, this is a great opportunity to test some games out. Im happy to see bigger titles drop in the Pass and most likely ill purchase it now.

At the moment I'd say the ten dollar a month price isn't really worth it for the dated back compat titles they offer. But if they ramp up exclusives and offer them in game pass it might convert more people to the program. Right now though I just don't think it's value for money.

Honestly, I love the idea of this, not only will alot of PEOPLE bu the Pass, but it'll let them test out the game before they decide to purchase a hard copy or not, theyt can simply pay 10$ a month.

LMAO so essentially you can try a new game for 10 bucks? Interesting.... I think someone is gonna lose ALOT of money xD
