Far Cry 5’s PC Configuration Requirements Have Been Revealed

With Far Cry 5’s official release slowly creeping onto our calendars, French publisher Ubisoft has unveiled the system requirements needed to run the PC version of the game.

According to the publisher’s blog post, gamers looking to run the game at 1080p and 60FPS will need at least an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD R9 290X GPU and at least Intel Core i7-4770 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.2 GHz processor. While those looking to run the game in 4K, if your PC is sporting an Intel Core i7-6700 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X @ 3.6 GHz processor, as well as an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD RX Vega 56 graphics card, you will be able to run the game at 4K 30FPS.

However, if you want to run the game at the highest settings, your PC will require at least an Intel Core i7-6700K @ 4.0 GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 1700X @ 3.4 GHz or equivalent for the processor and at least an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 SLI or AMD RX Vega 56 CFX.

Far Cry 5 is set to be released on March 27 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.1 GHz or AMD FX-6300 @ 3.5 GHz or equivalent
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 or AMD R9 270 (2GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or better)
SYSTEM RAM: 8GB
Resolution: 720p
Video Preset: Low

RECOMMENDED CONFIGURATION (60 FPS):

OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i7-4770 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.2 GHz or equivalent

Video Preset: High/Ultra

Same, although my Pc can run this on medium - low settings, ill still be playing this baby on my One X for the 4k quality on my 52' TV.

I did the same thing. Got 100% achievements in both too. They were great games and cant wait to 100% this one.

Craig Game has also confirmed it will support 21:9 aspect ratios natively. Which is all I cared about. So I'm hyped.


Yeah boiiiiii!

Feel like this game is made for me and my 21:9 monitor, GTX 970, and 4790k lol.

Seeing as "minimum" config is an FX-6300 and R9 270, anyone who has built/upgraded a system in the past 7/8 years will be absolutely fine to at least run the game comfortably at lower resolution/settings, assuming it's not terribly optimised anyway.
