PUBG Xbox One Update Adds New Controller Option and More

In a posting to the official PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds forum, players can get an early look at some patch notes for an upcoming update to the Xbox One version of the game.

The most notable change coming in the next update is a new controller preset in the options menu. With this new preset you’ll be able to use left trigger (LT) to aim down the sight of your weapon and left bumper (LB) to aim down the sight from a third-person perspective. Other changes are coming to gameplay as well as bug fixes and further optimization.

First, pistols have now been removed from the Y button’s weapon rotation and are now grouped together with melee weapons. Players will now be able to quickly equip pistols by hitting up on the D-pad. Also, there will be continued improvements to player rubber banding as well as enhanced server performance when parachuting. Last but not least, there will be some minor bug fixes.

Tom Man, i wish I could get this game but never have the funds nor do I really want to spend my money on this game. I really didnt expect a controller update though.


If your gonna get it, get it on PC mate, its shit on Xbox at the moment.

It's worth getting. I wasn't sure if I was going to but further down the line to now it runs so much better and I think it's good to play. Sometimes it lags but it's rare now, game never crashes either

Xbox Still ain't got this game yet, all my friends tell me it's shit on console.

It's pretty steady, I actually enjoy it now. FPS has to be around 30 cause it runs smooth and haven't rubber banded since the update. Crashed once tho.

No one from here writes them. Pretty much at the bottom of every article you'll find that there is a source. Sometimes they are up to date or days late on this site

Glad they updated this. This allows for super fast changing to the pistols which are surprisingly very good in this game.

Noticed the pistol setting was messing up people more than anything but i hope this update takes that away like they are trying to do
