Call of Duty: WWII Tops UK Sales Chart in Last Week of 2017

4.1
For the last week of 2017, Call of Duty: WWII takes the number one spot for the 9th consecutive week on the “Top 40 Entertainment Software (All Prices)” UK chart.

The popular series previously achieved such a feat in 2015 for Call of Duty: Black Ops III where it held the number one spot a total of eleven weeks; however, only seven of those weeks were consecutive. The last time the series hit nine consecutive weeks at number one was when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 released back in 2009.

Additionally, the chart sees a stagnant top five from last week. Despite the negativity towards Electronic Arts, FIFA 18 and Star Wars Battlefront II take the number two and three spot followed by Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Origins at number four. Grand Theft Auto V — a game released in 2013 — stays at number five.

2017 has been a good year for the popular shooter franchise as well as its publisher Activision. Call of Duty: WWII and Destiny 2 are the number one and number two top-selling console games of 2017 respectively in North America. Additionally, Activision and Vicarious Visions’ Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was the number one top selling remaster in PlayStation 4 history.

Not surprised, they've lifted the franchise back up off it's knees and back to the good ol' days.. almost.

Quite a good game and better than previous year imo for a long time - although still by far no where near my favourite, that being BO2.
