Oculus Rift Gets a Temporary Price Drop

4
To celebrate the holiday season, Oculus has announced that its virtual reality headset, the Oculus Rift will receive a temporary price cut for the next few days.

According to the manufacturer, the virtual reality headset along with its two touchpad controllers is now available for $379; the offer is valid until Wednesday, December 20, 11:59 p.m. PST/December 21 2:59 a.m. EST. Those looking to grab one can purchase the product directly Oculus’ website or through Amazon, Best Buy, and Newegg. Additionally, those who purchase the headset these next couples of days will also receive Luckey’s Tale, Medium, Toybox, Quill, Dead and Buried, Dragon Front, and Robo Recall, free of charge.

While this is a great, last-minute gift idea, the price drop overall is minor. Especially when you consider that its only $20 off its original purchase price, which was announced last October by the company that the Rift & Touch controller bundle was getting a permanent price drop to $399.99. Nevertheless, those that have a VR ready PC, and are looking to get into virtual reality; the Oculus Rift is a good (and affordable when compared to the HTC Vive) headset. On top of that, earlier this month, the company released a new update for the headset, which introduces two heavily requested features.
