Call of Duty: WW2 Now Banning Players For Prestige Exploit

4.5
A new update for Call of Duty: WW2 just came out, and among other things, we know that it changes up how HQ mode works, while also implementing a new UI for the game’s multiplayer modes; however, that is not the only thing that it does. Apparently, the Prestige exploit for the game, which had been recently discovered, is now patched out.

Not only is it patched out, anyone who used it to exploit the game has also been banned temporarily, for a period of two days, which is something that the game’s director confirmed on Twitter, as well as a user on Reddit. Which, I think, is fair- it could have been a far harsher penalty. Two days for exploiting such a severe glitch is actually pretty lenient.

Call of Duty: WW2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC; as of right now, it is unclear whether the banes extend to the PC version of the game, which has not yet received the new update, too.

JPB What's a bane? "...Unclear weather the bane extends to PC..."

Not sure either. As for the weather, it's pretty unclear for me as well, a bit overcast

I have yet to be banned. However two of my friends have been struck with a 24 hour and a reset.

Good, people are stupid these days, now there is gonna be outcries of "Banned for nothing"

Seems they're only hitting those who did it stupid amounts. I know a couple of friends including myself that did it once or twice and nothing has happened. Not even a reset. Oh well on we go lmao

Reevy Probably sound like a hypocrite since I've been modding and exploiting Xbox for years but I'm glad they're dealing with cheaters (I stopped modding earlier this year though :P)
his isn't modding and it's an in game exploit, not related to Xbox or modding.
