This is your three paragraph spoiler warning. Click away if you don’t want to see a bunch of secret unlocks that you’ll receive for finishing Super Mario Odyssey.

Super Mario Odyssey is the second masterpiece this year from Nintendo, as the Switch goes from strength to strength.

That a new Mario game is good should be no surprise. That’s it’s this good after the triumph of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the cherry on the Switch cake.

SPOILERS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Completing Super Mario Odyssey unlocks a number of cool things, including new levels and outfits.



The first thing you unlock is a Mushroom Kingdom level. As well as being a standard level with collectables – including Mario’s N64 outfit – it’s also used to go back and fight bosses from the main game.

Enter the shop and you’ll find a whole new bunch of suits including Dr Mario, classic Donkey Kong and the Luigi outfit. In short, this is all amazing fan service. Watch the video above for 7 minutes of adventure in the Mushroom Kingdom.
