If you’re a gamer, this is the toughest week of 2017. On the most crowded Friday of the year, you’ll need to decide which of three huge games is going to get your money and time first. Do you go for Super Mario Odyssey, a Switch game that looks poised to become an all-time classic? Or do you give in to Assassin’s Creed Origins, an exciting prospect given the huge stakes for the future of one of gaming’s biggest series? Then there’s the dark horse, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, a sequel to one of the most interesting single-player shooters of the last few years. No matter what you choose, it seems likely you’ll get a pretty great gaming experience, but it’s still a real Sophie’s Choice–type thing.
