Dragon Ball FighterZ, the upcoming fighting game from Arc System Works, will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC from January 26th, 2018, publisher Bandai Namco has announced.

As well as announcing the release date, the publisher also shared details about the LINK System, an addition to Story Mode that allows players to “embody different characters, share their minds and even discuss with them while they live in the same body.” An official description from Bandai Namco can be found below:

Surprises are not finished yet. Composed of 3 different parts, the story mode will allow players to experience 3 different perspectives each offering different details and secrets about the whole story. Players will first play the Super Warriors Arc in the perspective of the Saiyans, then the Super Villain Arc in the perspective of the enemies and finally the Android Arc in the perspective of the Androids. By taking part in different fighting combinations included in these 3 chapters, players will be able to level up their characters and get a full understanding of the amazing Dragon Ball FighterZ scenario! The story mode map will also surprise everyone by becoming a new place for a tactical move as players will have different options for their next destination. This strategical choice will have an impact on fighting abilities in future fights!

Bandai Namco also unveiled two special editions of the game that will also be available at launch: the FighterZ Edition and Ultimate Edition. The FighterZ Edition is priced at $95 and includes a copy of the game and the FighterZ Pass, which grants access to eight DLC characters. While the Ultimate Edition costs $110 and includes everything in the FighterZ Edition, plus the Commentator Voice Pack and Anime Music Pack.

Finally, players who pre-order the game on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC will get early access to SSGSS Goku and SSGSS Vegeta, and two exclusive lobby avatars. Xbox One and PS4 pre-orders also come with early access to the January open beta.
