More than 10 million people have played Fortnite: Battle Royale

Epic Games has released an infographic for Fortnite: Battle Royale, the free-to-play spin-off of survival game Fortnite.

According to the image released by the developer, more than 10 million people have played Fortnite: Battle Royale over the last two week, putting in just shy of 45 million hours of game time collectively.

It was also revealed that almost 300 million players have jumped from the Battle Bus so far, building almost 800 million walls/stairs/floors/ceilings after hitting the ground.

Earlier this week, Epic revealed that the game hit a peak concurrent player count of 525,000 on Sunday, October 9th, with 3.7 million playing the game in total across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

In other news, it was announced last week that “thousands” of cheaters have been banned from the game so far in an attempt to curb the rampant hacking problems that have plagued it since launch. The developer added that it has no plans of stopping its war against cheaters and has a zero-tolerance policy.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is available now as a free download on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

This game is shit and not for me but cool to see it putting up numbers I guess. Just waiting for PUBG to hit Xbox and it will be a wrap.

-urzx This game is so stupid. It puts out the dumbest statistics. The game is made for little kids with its crappy graphics. The only reason people are playing this is because they used pubg's name left and right for promotional status. Once pubg hits consoles this game will be history!

Couldn't agree more, it's a pathetic game, I couldn't believe the horrible kids graphics and the unrealistic gameplay, you enter any type of building and you're instantly set up with kit/loot, it's stupid, there's no strategy or tactics behind it, you just enter a building and from there it's blowing everyone's brains out like every kid seems to want to do on a game.

because they used battle royal? you do realise pubg didn't create the idea of a battle royal. He might have made one of the first mods for it but it isn't a new idea by any means. Battle royal movie and book and even hunger games predate battle royal games.

Pretty impressive considering it hasn't been out that long. It is free so that may help it alot but it is pretty fun.
