PUBG changing leaderboard reset schedule due to too many players

A change is being made to the leaderboard reset schedule for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds due to the large amount of concurrent players.

The latest season was originally scheduled to begin last night, but has been pushed back to October 16th at 7 p.m. PDT due to fears over server issues.

“Our concurrent users have been increasing rapidly, and we are genuinely concerned that we may not be able to provide you with a comfortable and seamless gaming experience by starting the new season immediately,” developer Bluehole explained. “In order to deliver a more reliable service, we would like to make some back end improvements.”

According to a post on Steam, users will still be able to play as normal until the new season begins, but no results will be recorded.

“We sincerely apologize for this change in the leaderboard reset schedule,” Bluehole added. “Thank you for understanding that we are implementing these changes to make the long term gameplay enjoyable for our users.”

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available now on PC and will be coming to Xbox One later this year.

RepBandit Well i do not feel the concurrent players are not going to slow down before the 16th so I do not understand why they cant go ahead and do it.


Exactly their just going to keep growing, none the less good to see the reset.

KyloCrux Love that they are resetting the leaderboards often.


They reset them once a month until they are going to release the game.


They should keep doing it tho.. Keeps it fresh

They should do this every once in a while. These players wont slow down tho if anything they are gonna be worse.
