All Xbox 360 Halo games are now backward compatible on the Xbox One

4.7
A couple of months ago, 343 Industries announced that all Xbox 360 Halo games would soon become backward compatible on the Xbox One. Well, the big day has arrived and you can finally play the Xbox 360 versions of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 on your Xbox One console.

These four Halo games join Halo: Reach, the RTS game Halo Wars and the top-down shooter Halo: Spartan Assault on the Xbox One Backward Compatibility list. In addition, all map packs for these old Halo games are now free for everyone, which is great to maintain a healthy community of players over the years.
