It looks like Gears of War 4 is currently hosting a free trial period on Xbox One and Windows 10. Players can now choose to download the free trial, which presumably lasts 10 hours like the previous trial in June. It is unclear for how long this offer will be available or what sections of the game players will have access to. In addition, Gears of War 4 is on sale for $25.99 for the next six days.

Gears of War 4 recently received 500 of new achievements, two new maps, and some much needed improvements in its September update. The maps became available for everyone in Public matchmaking a few days ago.

Even if you are unfamiliar with the franchise, Gears of War 4 is a good place to jump in. “A new saga begins for one of the most acclaimed video game franchises in history. After narrowly escaping an attack on their village, JD Fenix and his friends, Kait and Del, must rescue the ones they love and discover the source of a monstrous new enemy.”
