Xbox One and PS4 gamers can get an early taste of NBA 2K18 today, with the NBA 2K18: The Prelude free demo. The demo primarily focuses on The Neighborhood, which “brings together the most loved elements of NBA 2K together into a shared world for players to truly experience the life of an NBA athlete, both on and off the court.”

To download The Prelude on Friday morning, simply visit Xbox Live or the PS Store direct on your console and search for NBA 2K18. The Prelude demo however will not be coming to Nintendo Switch, though Switch users (as well as Xbox One and PS4) can access the full game on September 15th when they preorder the title, 4 days before the games official release date. Actually it doesn't have any achievements this year which is upsetting but I heard the Prelude was very short so they didn't bother adding achievements.

KuruptFM I couldn't justify spending that amount of money just for in came content, feels like NBA 2K is turning into Fifa.. Some game developer companies need to start getting really creative with their pre order bonus content especially with the most highest tier. Like what treyarch did for bo1 where they included an RC XD car and bo2 included an RC Dragonfire drone

Ill stop you right there my friend, thats not the problem at all. Pre order bonuses dont sell games at all, the games themselves do. This demo/prelude whatever they wanna call it was a disappointment and the fact is 2K has gotten stale and repetitive. But now a days devs dont really care about the game that much to change it drastically, so they re paint the game from last year to just make sales. Facts.

It's far from being dead - still a massively popular franchise.
