Xbox One’s ‘Light Mode’ dashboard is now available for testing

4.5
Xbox Insider Alpha testers can now try out the new “Light Mode” for the Xbox One dashboard.

As you’d expect, Light Mode replaces the usual grey and black backgrounds of the dashboard with a lighter theme. Testers can switch between light and dark in the settings menu.

Last month, Microsoft pushed a redesigned dashboard to the alpha tester ring. This redesign includes a new home screen that includes previous played games, follow suggestions, deals, and more. The guide has also been updated to be quicker and easier to navigate.

This update is available for testing for Xbox Insiders right now and will be pushed to all Xbox One owners this fall.

Light themes are just better. Dark ones make me squint more.

Musket Hopefully it's good, I know a few people in the beta testing I'll have to ask them to see what it's like

Seem some good and bad feedback, quite mixed.

For those that don't know where to turn it on... Settings > Personalization > System personalization > System theme. I like it, pretty awesome.
