Call Of Duty: WWII’s Next Beta Will Feature More Maps, Modes

4.4
The last Call of Duty: WWII beta, which happened this past weekend, was a lot of fun –but fans haven’t seen anything yet.

The team at Sledgehammer Games have confirmed that the forthcoming beta for this weekend, which kicks off this Friday and runs all through Labor Day weekend for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, will feature a number of new maps and modes that weren’t featured in the beta before. More room to try stuff out!

During a recent livestream hosted by PlayStation, Sledgehammer COO Michael Condrey, alongside multiplayer system designer Greg Reisdorf, confirmed that the beta will have new content, including a great new map called Aachen, which is a medium-sized map that takes place in a Nazi town.

On top of that, there will also be a higher level cap so you can level up accordingly, along with a number of particular new weapons that you can try out. These include the M1A1 Carbine, a three-shot low-recoil weapon that will definitely leave enemies laying.

Condrey also confirmed that the game will also have a new game mode, which hasn’t been disclosed just yet (but should be very soon), along with a handful of new scorestreaks and uniforms.

Last but not least, a number of gameplay tweaks have been made, including changes to loading and hit markers, so players won’t have to put up with them so much.

It sounds like everything is coming together for this second beta, and it’ll be the true difference maker that will help shape the final Call of Duty: WWII multiplayer mode when it comes out. There’s always a good chance that the forthcoming PC beta will help Sledgehammer shape things together as well, so we’ll see how that turns out when it takes place in just a few weeks.

So far, though, the game is doing wonderfully when it comes to getting back to the World War II nature of the series, with intense action, a fast frame rate, and genuinely good action. We can’t wait to squad up and put these enemies to shame.

Call of Duty: WWII arrives on November 3rd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

I've seen some gameplay and I know it's in beta, but the gameplay looked terrible. I was watching DrDisrespect play it on PS4 and it made him uninstall it he thought it was that bad! I'm not going to let that affect my judgement on the game though.
