A second wave of Xbox One X pre-orders is coming—here’s when

Last week, Microsoft opened up pre-orders for the Xbox One X, and the upcoming console sold out with record speed. Most major retailers are currently out of stock. If you missed your chance to place an order, though, another opportunity is on the horizon.

In a post on Xbox Wire, Microsoft detailed the its pre-order success, thanking fans for the “record-setting sell-out times” and placement of “more Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition [console pre-orders] in the first five days than any Xbox ever.” The company didn’t give any actual sales numbers, but—in a paragraph tucked away near the end of the article—Microsoft did promise that more consoles will be on the way.

“We know people are still anxious to get their hands on the world’s most powerful console,” Microsoft wrote. “We will be announcing details of the next wave of Xbox One X standard edition pre-orders next month so stay tuned for more information.”

“Next month” almost definitely refers to September, so keep your eyes peeled for more pre-orders opening up after this next weekend.

The Xbox One X launches on November 7th.

Decy They must have a set limit on how many the have to make although i personally think this console aint worth getting yet as 4k is not really mandatory at this point. But it will defo be an upgrade worth doing.




4K gaming won't become standard for a few years still. But i think they are using it more as marketing than anything else. To keep up with PC the best they can.

I already got my pre order in but it's pretty awesome that they're giving another batch of pre orders to those that missed out.

They should just send it all out at once tbh but they probably have it going out in waves to make sure the sales go well ?

You don't pay until the Xbox is despatched, that gives you some time to save..
