Rainbow Six Siege Map Rotations are Changing Soon

4.3
Ubisoft announced that the map rotations for both competitive and casual Rainbow Six Siege players will soon be changing.

The changes to the ranked and casual playlists as announced by Ubisoft are expected to ship with the start of Season 3. For ranked players, the number of maps that they'll be battling on will be reduced to provide a smaller rotation to display their skills on.

"Beginning this season, the Ranked playlist will include the same nine maps that we selected for the Pro League," the announcement about the map rotation changes read. "Moving forward, we will introduce the new Ranked and ESL Pro League playlists at the same time we perform the rank reset – and all of that will occur at the start of the new season. The Ranked playlist, much like the ESL playlist, will be rotated each Season, offering a different selection of available maps."

With the start of Season 3, the following nine maps will be available in the ranked rotations:

Bank
Clubhouse
Oregon
Kafe
Consulate
Chalet
Border
Coastline
Skyscraper

Regarding future maps that are expected to be added during Season 3, Ubisoft has plans for those as well. Starting with the upcoming season, all new maps that are revealed won't be appearing in the either the ranked or the pro league rotations. Keeping them in the casual playlists will allow players to become more familiar with the maps before attempting to battle it out on the maps during more competitive matches.

The casual playlists will be facing similar reductions in the number of maps, but they'll still have more maps to play on compared to the competitive rotations. Fifteen maps will soon be available in the casual playlists, all of which are seen below:
Bank
Clubhouse
Oregon
Kafe
Consulate
Chalet
Border
Coastline
Skyscraper
Kanal
Hereford
University
House
Plane
Theme Park

For those maps that have been removed, they'll be sent to the level design team to be reworked. All of the maps are still playable in custom games though, so if your favorite is gone, there's still a way to experience it.

So upset that I got rid of this game with my first Xbox and never bought it again. Was such a fun time I loved the operations and online!
