Microsoft has been teasing a big surprise during its press event this Sunday at Gamescom. If you saw our pre-order article yesterday then you already know that the big surprise is very likely Xbox One X pre-orders going live right after the vent concludes. Today we're seeing that another surprise could be in store, though. A German website by the name of mediamarkt.de (via i4u) has reportedly listed a special edition Xbox One X early. Behold the Xbox One X: Project Scorpio Edition

This listing appeared just hours after a listing for "Xbox One X Day One Edition" appeared on a German Amazon and then disappeared shortly thereafter. Due to the sequence of leaks, it seems entirely possible that this is legitimate.

As you can see from the image, the Project Scorpio Edition console will come with a nifty vertical stand to make it look very handsome on your entertainment center, but there's also two other big differences here, which we'll bring to your attention with this next image.




You may not have noticed it in the first picture, but from this angle a few of the more subtle differences can be seen. The Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition will come with "Project Scorpio" printed in the a flagship Xbox green across the front of the console, and down the center of the controller.

You may also notice something else interesting about the console here. It has a very interesting textured pattern across the top which isn't present on the standard console. We're not sure if this will be made of the same material as the original console or something different, but it does look fancy.

Believe it or not, there's one more leak lending even more credibility to the images we've seen above.



It's leak season! After the Xbox One X pre-order date leak, the Project Scorpio Edition leak on Amazon, and then the above linked Project Scorpio Edition images, we now have a leak pertaining to Microsoft's big promotion partnership for the Xbox One X launch. Oh yeah, guys, we're getting some freaking green Doritos!

These "power" Doritos are green as hell, and will very likely show up on store shelves in the weeks preceding the Xbox One X launch. If we had to guess, we'd bet that there will be a period of time that you can purchase packs of these guys for a chance to win an Xbox One X. Now where's the Mountain Dew?!
