Nintendo Switch Dock Still Causing Overheating And Warping Issues

4.5
When the Nintendo Switch first launched back in March, there was a flurry of stories about the system’s various hardware quirks and flaws. Some of those problems, like the left Joy-Con de-syncing with the system, have since been fixed, but others persist even though they’re no longer being widely reported on. Specifically, it seems the Nintendo Switch charging dock is still warping some unfortunate players’ systems.

For those who missed out on this story the first time around, playing the Nintendo Switch for extending periods of time while it’s in the charging dock may cause the unit to overheat and warp. My Switch spends most of its time in the charging dock, and I haven’t had any issues with overheating or warping, but numerous people have provided images proving the issue exists.

Well, Kotaku has continued to keep abreast of the warping issue, and has found players tweeting about the issue as recently as this month. The issues seem to be particularly prevalent in Japan – whether that has to do with bad stock or Japan simply being warmer than here, is unknown.

That's terrible. Massive flaws can't be happening like that in a game device so big.
