Valve revealed two new heroes coming to Dota 2 in the game’s next update, “The Dueling Fates.” The official announcement was made during the Dota 2 International tournament.

A short trailer was revealed giving us a brief look at the two heroes. They both look entirely new and are not reminiscent of any heroes from the original Dota. Much of Dota 2’s cast is based off of characters from the first game.

Neither of the heroes have been given names but we do know what their general appearances will be, as well as the weapons, and potential abilities they may use.

The first hero we see in the trailer is a witty armadillo-like creature who carries around a rapier as his weapon of choice. He also rolls around at one point during the trailer so maybe we’ll see one of his abilities utilize that skill. He makes quick work of Bristleback, Monkey King, and Magnus.

We get a much briefer look at the second hero. She’s a pink pixie who seemingly uses some kind of lantern with a little monster minion in it to attack. That’s all we really get to find out from her brief introduction.

If I had to guess I’d say that the first hero we see falls under either the strength or agility categories while the second hero more than likely will be put under intelligence. You can check out the new trailer down below and decide for yourself.
