Xbox One backward compatibility Adds Two New Games

4.2
The newest additions to Xbox One’s backward compatibility library will please fans of funky aliens and epic mice who enjoy co-operative gameplay.

Major Nelson recently announced that Sega Vintage Collection: ToeJam & Earl and Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two have been added to the long list of Xbox One BC games.

Epic Mickey 2 is a 3D platformer in which Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit work together to traverse the Wasteland with magical paintbrushes and other gadgets. In our original review, we said it was “like playing through a classic Disney cartoon with all of your favorite characters.”

Sega Vintage Collection: ToeJam & Earl includes both the first game in the series, ToeJam & Earl, and its sequel, ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron. The first game is an isotropic roguelike about two funky alien pals who crash-land on Earth and have to fight or avoid enemies like sadistic mad scientists and hypnotic hula dancers while searching for the pieces of their busted-up ship. The sequel switches the series to a 2D platformer in which Earthlings hitch a ride on ToeJam and Earl’s spaceship and invade their home planet of Funkotron. The best part is that the game supports both local co-op and online multiplayer.

It isn't Microsofts fault, it's the gaming industry's fault. Developers are so focused on remakes these days that it'd make more sense to limit the use of their IP's to the console they made them for so they can come along years later and redo them.

Backwards compatibility has become a joke at this point. I'm sure some people like these games, but there are really missing out on bigger games.
