Destiny 2 Xbox One file size may be too small to be true

4.1
Destiny 2‘s file size for Xbox One was recently outted by the Xbox Live Marketplace, but its low amount of required space doesn’t align with previous file sizes leaked for the game.

According to the Marketplace listing, Destiny 2 will only take up 29.15 GB on Xbox One—barely more than half the size of other comparable shooters. What is curious about this size is that the game was previously clocked at 68 GB worth of content in a Gamestop listing. The original Destiny took up approximately 60 GB with all of its post-launch DLC, so while the new file size could be a placeholder, the 29.15 GB size seems the most realistic for Destiny 2.

The file size for the PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game are not yet available, but they should clear up which file size is accurate once announced.

The preload date for Destiny 2 surfaced earlier this summer, revealing that PlayStation 4 players could begin downloading the shooter on September 3rd, three days before the full release. Reports suggested that Xbox One’s preload date would be September 5th, and while that only gives players a day to preload, it will be more than enough time if the game ends up supporting the smaller file size.

Hopefully the lack of GB's doesn't mean lack of content, worried about this game but still gonna get it.

probably cut content, except they actually cut the content off the disc so people won't glitch into the areas early this time around lmao. Destiny is sus like always

29GB for any game these days is miniscule.

A game with a campaign and multiplayer capabilities only 29 GB of space? Yeah, highly doubt it.

I really hope this is true. Im tired of waiting 12+ hours for a single game to download. This is great news to me

Only 30GB well that's good least I won't have to wait a day for it to install lol Bit
No idea how they got it to be that small lol

a triple a title with only 29gb seems a bit small really

Hard to believe any big game is under 60gb now-a-day's. Just under 30 there has to be a catch.

Folk
Chigga god I hope its that small lol. tired of every game being 60+ gigs

Agreed but high Gb better the quality

Not necessarily, it could also mean poor optimization among other things. Look at all the amazing games we had that were only a few gigs. More gigs to use (along with other variables) definitely means better content.....only if the space is used, not abused.

Won't be surprised if Destiny 2 is 60GBs
