UPDATED: Xbox Live Games with Gold for August revealed

August’s free games for Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One and Xbox 360 have been revealed by Microsoft.

Xbox One owners can pick up the early access version of slime-wrangler Slime Rancher for free during the month of August, while the latest main entry in the platform racing series Trials, Trials Fusion, will be available as a free download from August 16th until September 15th.

On Xbox 360, PlatinumGames’ action game Bayonetta will be free from August 1st through to August 15th, after which it will be replaced by destruction-based shooter Red Faction: Armageddon as the free game until August 31st.

We should, within the next few days, get the official lowdown on next month's Xbox Live Free Games with Gold. We should, for that matter, be hearing about our new PlayStation Plus free games as well, since the PSN store updates on Tuesdays and next Tuesday will be the first day of August. As far as Xbox games go, we may have just seen our free games for next month a few days early. Spanish Xbox site SomosXbox published an article with a promo banner displaying two new Xbox One games, and two new Xbox 360 games.

If this leak turns out to be accurate, Xbox One owners are in for a really great August. After last months' mediocre showing, this should more than make up to the people who've been craving some flagship first-party games. This month's first-party offering is an Xbox 360 backward compatible game, but it's a great one. Keep scrolling to the supposed Xbox One and Xbox 360 games for August:

Adolfin It's not these games listed, but honestly the games they pick get worse every month. That's why I went to PS4.

OMG, WOW. That's totes a good enough reason to switch consoles... all down to the FREE games they give us. Some of the free games are bad yes, but let's remember... they are FREE. They wont be giving out brand new games worth £40-50.

in the bigger picture, they aren't 100% free, you still have to pay for your subscription. You wouldn't want to go onto netflix and it only be a bunch of shitty B movies, but keep the service because "well just one of these movies equal the subscription so i might as well just keep it." if you aren't happy with the content you're being provided for the money you pay every month, it makes sense to switch to somewhere you think you will be happy.

The point of having gold is to play online. I literally don't know anybody who buys gold for the 'free' games. Your example is terrible. Absolutely no similarities.
