The hidden area in question is believed to be one of Destiny 2‘s Lost Sectors on the Vex-controlled planet of Nessus and can be found by sneaking through a gap at the beginning of the Inverted Spire Strike. Sadly, there’s not really much to see apart from glitchy geometry, a few platforms, and some unfinished areas, but it’s still a chance to get a look at more of the game than we’re supposed to.
Lost Sectors are a new addition to the sequel that can be found while out on Patrol. These new areas act as mini dungeons that contain a nasty boss at the end guarding some loot.
The Destiny 2 beta is available now on PlayStation 4 for those who have pre-ordered the game. Xbox One owners who have pre-ordered will be able to access it later today, with everyone else being granted access on July 21st. The beta runs until July 23rd and includes the game’s first campaign mission, the Inverted Spire Strike, and two PvP modes.
Destiny 2 launches September 6th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a PC release set to follow on October 24th.
