Focus Home Interactive has announced that a free demo version of Deck13’s sci-fi action role-playing game The Surge will be available on all platforms next week.

The contents of the demo were not shared, but the developer did mention that players on PlayStation 4 Pro will get all of the benefits found in the full game, including HDR, dynamic 4K, and 60 FPS in 1080p.

“A catastrophic event has knocked you out during the first day on the job… you wake up equipped with a heavy-grade exoskeleton, in a destroyed section of the complex,” the game’s description reads. “Robots gone haywire, insane augmented co-workers and rogue AI – everything wants you dead.”

Deck13 recently released a big update for the console versions of the game that added an FOV slider, music controls, and fixed a number of bugs. The PC update will be out soon. Take a look at the full patch notes here.

The Surge is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
