Today, developer Psyonix announced that it’s soccer with cars game — which turned two-years-old today — Rocket League has surpassed 33 million players across PS4, Xbox One, and PC, which is up 3 million in less than three months when it passed 30 million on April 18th.

In addition to racing by 33 million players, Psyonix also revealed the following interesting tidbits:

1.6 million players play every day, 3.3 million play every week, and 6.1 million play every month.
Over 1.5 billion matches have been played.
Of the active players over the last 12 months, 41 percent play on PS4, 32 percent play on Xbox One, and 27 percent on PC.
2v2 is the most popular match type with 50 percent of matches, followed by 3v3 with 32 percent, 1v1 with 16 percent, and 4v4 with 2 percent.
The most popular car over the last year is one of the OG cars: the Octane.

In addition to the above information dump, Psyonix also recently talked to GamesIndustry where it was revealed that when the game released two years ago the team was 36 strong, now it’s about to hit 90. Further, the developer is going to be moving into a new space, as it has run out of said space in its current building.
