HAVIT HV-KB390L The Thinnest Lightest Backlit Mechanical Keyboard

4.2
There’s been a surge in demand for mechanical keyboards thanks to the efforts of mainstream gaming brands but as they hype up the needs for such products, so did the prices and many gamers felt left-out due to the extortionate costs of mainstream brands like Razer cashing off the mechanical keyboard frenzy despite relatively questionable quality compared to more affordable offerings. This demand though has created a void in the sub-$100 market ready for the taking and one of those brands is HAVIT who has been on Amazon’s top listing for affordable mechanical keyboard for sometime.

A thinner keyboard does not only mean it is more portable and more lightweight, it also mean it takes less time and effort to press a key, thus make you react faster in game and in everyday business. With the latest Kailh PG1350 blue switch, the HV-KB390L Low Profile Mechanical Keyboard comes with a thickness of only 0.89 Inch, which is more than 25% thinner than a standard 104 key keyboard. The 3mm of total travel and 45g of operating force gives you a natural and swift mechanical typing experience without any bumping sounds between the keycaps and the cover like other long travel switches do.

With the handy Fn key, you can set the backlighting to six different modes, adjust its brightness and speed, or turn it off entirely.

The HAVIT HV-KB390L is a gorgeous mechanical keyboard. Its build quality and functionality is easily comparable to the high-end offering from many mainstream brands. This is easily a highly-recommended product.

One handy feature to note is the HAVIT HV-KB390L is powered by a detachable 60 Inch Micro USB Cable making it more portable and most importantly easy if you need to repair / replace the cable it's not very often a feature like this is added to keyboards since most brands would prefer you to just replace the entire keyboard if the cable becomes damaged but it's clear HAVIT designs their products with the customer in mind.

The Aluminum cover gives the HAVIT HV-KB390L a premium look and feel

Pros
Beautiful back lighting
Solid mechanical switches
Excellent value for money
Detachable Micro USB Cable

Cons
No macro-keys.
RGB comes as presets being able to create your own would top this keyboard off.

Looks really cool, would defiantly consider picking on of these bad boys up.

My cat's hair would get under all of those keys. It also doesn't look safe to drop if your carrying it to LAN party's and whatnot.

Pretty sexy to be fair, cant really imagine me using it due to not having a numberpad, cant deal without it.

I like the design of the keyboard.

I will say it is pretty damn sleek, might have to look into getting one.

I just picked up one of their keyboards for $6.50 via a event they had on Facebook which normally retailed for $99 on sale for $70. Get it Thursday. Can't wait to see how good the quality is and if it matches up against my Corsair Strafe.

Super cool, dislike the logo being on the keyboard just because I prefer a blacked out keyboard, no macros and the RGB thing kinda sucks but I'm sure for $59.99 a lot of people would like it. Great beginner board.

Echo $59.99 for the thinest keyboard in the world. Looks very small to me, wouldn;t be into it but great design

It's pretty much the size of a normal keyboard just without the numpad at the end.
