Call of Duty WWII Headquarters offers a great feature for scorestreaks

4.2
Call of Duty: WWII offers players the means to test out the game’s scorestreaks through its Headquarters mode, as well as judge each other on our sportsmanship.

Headquarters is Call of Duty: WWII‘s unique social space in which players can connect and take part in a variety of fun activities, like shooting ranges and 1v1 competitive pits. One of these activities, according to Sledgehammer Games co-founder Michael Condrey, will allow players to test out the multiplayer’s full selection of scorestreaks to get a feel for some of the shooter’s rarer options.

“It was such a small idea, but it made sense,” Condrey told The Guardian (via PVP Live). “New players have a whole bunch of content that they never get to experience; there are these high-end scorestreaks that almost no one earns, or you finally do get one, but then don’t know what to do with it and don’t use it wisely—that’s frustrating.”

Aside from various testing opportunities, Condrey explained that Headquarters is also meant to build up the community. This is done through a system that acknowledges a player’s good behavior via commendations from others, for which players can be rewarded if they stack up.

One of the things in HQ is what we call a social score. It represents the number of commendations other players give you for being a good member of the community. Maybe you’re not the best Domination player but it could be that you’re friendly, welcoming and helpful in HQ and you’re good on the firing range—I can commend you any time I see you, I’m up-voting you as a person. And the higher your social score, the more rewards you get. Hopefully those systems instill the right community behaviors.

Call of Duty: WWII is slated to launch November 3rd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Seems like it could be too easily abused and cheated, seems like something that could potentially throw it in a bad direction. Simplicity is what this game needs.

I think its a pretty good system they have here.

The way I see it is it's like League of Legends, doesn't look like there is a down vote yet only an up vote so I dunno where the comments are getting that info from however if they do add a down vote I probably won't even get this game as that's the most abusive idea they could think of.

Bit of a messed up system if you ask me.
Easily abused & cheated.
Can see this causing a lot of issues when the game's released

So what if you party up with all your friends and you're killing it and the other team down votes you out of spite cause they are getting waxed?

Great system, abit like CSGO without the rewards, hopefully players user's use it properly and commend user's correctly.

So basically your performance is based purely on what other people think of you? So if you play with no mic but you're really good, salty people can downvote you and it makes you look bad to everyone and you won't be rewarded as much as a kid going 2 - 50 and losing you the game but his friends upvote him? And then he'll get more rewarded than you who carried the game and won?

*Long inhale* Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

I think this is a great idea. Especially for those not so good at Call of Duty ;-)
