Four Years From Release GTA V Tops Latest UK Sales Chart for the 13th Time

4.1
The 25th week of the UK Sales Charts are in — and unlike last week — Horizon: Zero Dawn is no longer the big dog at the pound. Rather, an even older (way older) dog holds that honor this week — for the 13th time — and that dog is Rockstar and Take-Two’s GTA V, which despite a substantial controversy on PC over mods, is still selling like hot cakes on consoles.

In a quiet week for new releases — and the usual quiet summer period of game releases — GTA V hops from No.3 last week to No.1 this week, achieving its 13th No.1: putting it in elite company alongside Zumba Fitness with the third most most weeks at No.1 for any title. The only games that are still the game that originally released in 2013 is the queen Wii Fit (16 number ones) and the king Who Wants To Be A Millionaire (18 number ones).

Last week’s No.1, Horizon: Zero Dawn has sunk to No.8 following the conclusion of its price promotion. Elsewhere on the charts, Dirt 4 came in just behind GTA V at No.2. Meanwhile, FIFA 17 sits at No.3, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands jumps 10 spots to No.4 thanks to a hefty price promotion. Rounding out the top five is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

As for the last week’s big debut, ARMS, it slipped from No.2 to No.7. As for new debuts this week, Dead by Daylight is the highest new entry at No.16 ahead of other debutants Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood at No.23 and Ever Oasis at No.28.

It's like the only good game on Xbox One at the moment, or at least the most complete considering how many glitches are patched and modders are banned on the daily, I wouldn't say its the best game ever just because of how ridiculously expensive everything is.

This game will always be a classic.

Cant believe its been 4 years already omg, only feels like last week. Happy to see the game still active, however it has died out alot this year due to the shit dlc's Rockstar keep bringing out. Rockstar really need to bring out a stunning dlc that is also cheap enough where you dont have to spend millions on things you get bored of in a few weeks.

I'm sure their C&D slowed sale's. But still despite all the OpenIV situation the game sell's and has been since 2013 there's no arguing that.
