Modern Warfare Remastered standalone release date finally revealed

4.3
After a long wait and plenty of leaks, it’s finally official: Eight months after launch, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is getting a standalone launch.

When Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launched last year, Modern Warfare Remastered came packed into special editions of the game, but there was no way to buy the overhauled Call of Duty 4 separately. Now, fans of the 2007 classic will finally be able to purchase the game without having to pay for Infinite Warfare.

The game comes with the full campaign and 16 multiplayer maps, though it does not include the Variety Map Pack. That one must be purchased separately from Activision for $15.

PlayStation 4 players will be the first to get their hands on Modern Warfare Remastered, with both physical and digital standalone versions arriving in stores on Tuesday, June 27th. Other platforms will get the game at a later time, though the exact date hasn’t yet been announced. Prior leaks had it set at exactly one month later, but the specific dates proved incorrect, so the exclusivity window may have been wrong as well.

Modern Warfare Remastered alone will cost $40.

$40 is quite a lot for a remaster and not including the DLC with this is a mistake.

Gonna pick this up for sure... Glad they finally released a standalone.

I really wish I never got it when it came out and just waited for it to be sold separately.

Game still looks horrid compared to the original version (Brace yourselves, the CoD nerds are coming) and adding supply drops for me ruined the atmosphere of having to earn your shit rather than have it handed to you (Or paid for).

$40 is still a bit much for this game. I would've listed it for $30.

I feel like most people that wanted it already have bought it. Glad it isn't a full $60, think that would be a bit much. Maybe I'll actually get it at some point now.

I played a decent amount of this game but I had to buy it when it came out

XboxPosted:

lol I don't even play this game anymore and I bought it with the package deal.

Imangine waiting 8months to save 30$

And if you think supply drops ruined the game you're probably not very good at it. You can out skill anyone using a supply gun with a normal gun
