PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds explosive success continues to impress even the most cynical. Just two weeks ago, the game reached 3 million sales.

And today, creator Brendan ‘PlayerUnknown’ Greene announced that four million copies have now been sold. Greene revealed the milestone to his Twitter followers earlier, and thanked players for their continued support.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was only released at the end of March, but has since become nothing short of a phenomenon. During its 13 weeks on the market, the game has now generated over $100 million in revenue.

It’s been on Steam’s top sellers list almost every day since, but more crucially, it’s pulling in concurrent player numbers that topple every other game on Steam – save for Dota 2, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Concurrent users on Steam peaked at 230,000 with more than 100,000 sessions being played daily. On Twitch, the game as seen more than 350,000 peak concurrent viewers, and 15% (or over 120,000) of all Twitch users watch PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds from the platform daily.

According to more stats sent over by Bluehole, 24% of player are based in the US, 19% in China, 6% in Germany, 6% in Russia and 4% in the UK. In Eastern Asia, 5.5% of players are located in South Korea and 4.3% in Japan.
