The Xbox One X can stand vertically, but it’ll cost you extra

Microsoft’s Xbox One X dominates the console power war, with its six teraflop GPU and 12GB of GDDR5 RAM, but one feature fans were unsure to even hope for is indeed included. It can stand vertically.

According to Microsoft’s official description of the console, the Xbox One X can be placed in either a horizontal or vertical orientation, regardless of the system being on or off, much like the Xbox One S before it. The description also reveals an “optional stand” will be available for purchase, with no current pricing or release date available at this time.

The current Xbox One S stand retails for $20, which could be an indicator that the new version for the latest console won’t be too far off from that price.

The Xbox One X is the smallest Xbox yet, while also outperforming every current console on the market. The system is set to launch on November 7th, 2017 for $499.

I don't my things standing up. You're just making it that bit easier to break it in some way like knocking it over. I know that I'd not be standing this up especially as my desk it kinda tall.

Never been a huge fan of the whole standing vertically idea. Even more so after my X360 decided it would just take a dive whilst I was in the middle of a game multiple years ago. Ever since I've refused to stand any console of mine vertically. But who know's the X1X might make me change my outlook on that, they might even offer the stand for free if you register your console through Microsoft like they did with the One S.

Yes the xbox one s stand may be 20 dollars. but if you register your console through microsoft they'll send you one for free.

I can't imagine them not doing the same thing for the X1X.
