FIFA 18’s Story Mode “The Journey Hunter Returns” Teased in New Trailer

4.1
Back on June 5th — exactly five days ago — EA unveiled FIFA 18 and its cover star, recent Champions League winner, Christiano Ronaldo. Additionally, it revealed that the game will once again launch on September 29th, on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and Switch.

At the time, EA also revealed — though it tried to hide it as best as possible — that the Switch version will notably not run on the Frostbite engine, which was introduced with last year’s installment on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Further making the Switch version less appealing is the fact that it also won’t have the the game’s story mode: “The Journey: Hunter Returns.”

That being said, Today, EA, during its E3 2017 presser, EA released two new trailers: one showcasing the game’s above mentioned story mode in a tongue-and-cheek manner and one showing off more gameplay.

FIFA 18 is available across three editions: the Standard Edition, the Ronaldo Edition, and ICON Edition. The Ronaldo Edition is said to come come with a three day early access to the game, meanwhile the ICON Edition comes with some additional FUT goodies in the form of loan players, as well as the three day early access period.

If you’re in the pre-ordering business, you can receive Christiano Ronaldo on loan in FUT, 8 special edition FUT kits, and up to (depending on which edition you pre-order) $60 worth of Jumbo Premium Gold FUT packs.

Additionally, if you’re a fancy EA Access or Origin Access member you can play the game — up to 10 hours — a whole week-ish early, starting on September 21st.

Below, you can check out the two new trailers:

I never got FIFA 17 just because none of my friends got it, I find games like these I enjoy more with friends. But I might have to just pick this up.

Never been a fan of the FIFA games, but the trailer was pretty decent though.

Honestly Journey wasn't that good on FIFA 17, hopefully it will be better and bring more content in FIFA 18

FIFA just hasn't been a fan favorite for me.

Interesting, I wonder if they have actual people from the real teams as the story or if it's like a 'you are the story' kind of mode.
