The 22nd week of the 2017 UK Sales Charts are in, and similar to last week, a fighting game is once again at the top. However, unlike the last two weeks it’s not just Injustice 2, but rather the newly released Tekken 7 from Bandai Namco.

Tekken 7 debuting at No.1 marks the first time the series has topped the Top 40 (Units) charts since week 37, 1998 when Tekken 3 on PS1 did it. As you may know, the most recently released game in the series before Tekken 7, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, debuted at No.2 in week 37, 2012 behind Square Enix’s Sleeping Dogs. Meanwhile, the last game to release in the main series prior to Tekken 7, Tekken 6, debuted at No.8 in week 44, 2009.

Meanwhile, Activision’s Overwatch remains at No.2, in part thanks to a sales spike from a price promotion. Last weeks’ (and the week before that) No.1 Injustice 2 fell to No.3, while FIFA 17 came in at No.4, and Bethesda’s Prey rounded at the top five.

Other new debuts this week to crack the Top 40 included: Ubisoft’s VR game Star Trek: Bridge Crew at No.16 and MXGP 3 at No.22.
