Nintendo Switch Firmware Update 2.3.0 is Out Now

4.1
Nintendo has just released a new firmware update for the Switch. The update, version 2.3.0, is live right now and should be available for all users.

The patch notes can be found in their full, extended form as follows:

General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience
And that’s it. If you aren’t familiar with Nintendo and how they roll out patch notes, this is par for the course. While it sucks that we never really gain much insight into the specifics of what was changed in these updates, they’ve at least been consistent with giving them to us since the Switch released in March.

If you want to read something with a bit more substance regarding Switch, then be sure to check out one of our new editorials that went live today where one of our writers talks about how the new Nintendo console helped him realize that there’s more to games than frame rates and resolutions.

As far as the new system update goes, it should automatically download to your Switch by itself as long as it’s connected to the Internet. You can manually trigger the download by going to the system settings as well. Enjoy those new stability improvements!
