Xbox will reveal exclusive partnership on a big game at E3

4.3
Microsoft might have more huge news for this year’s E3 than the full reveal of Project Scorpio. Twitter user shinobi602, well-respected for his history of accurate leaks, has stated that Xbox has acquired the marketing rights to an unannounced AAA title—the sort of arrangement that usually comes with some sort of content exclusivity.

Some are speculating that the mystery game is the oft-rumored Assassin’s Creed Origins. With PlayStation already owning the exclusive marketing rights to some of the year’s biggest upcoming releases—Destiny 2, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Call of Duty: WWII chief among them—it would make sense that Microsoft would be willing to fork over some cash to attach itself to at least one major franchise for this year’s E3.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft might be looking to boost sales of its games on Xbox One, which traditionally underperform compared to their PlayStation 4 counterparts. And, so far this year, Xbox One versions of Ubisoft games are gaining traction in the U.S. This is especially notable when you consider that North American console sales for the PlayStation 4 are currently ahead of console sales for the Xbox One by a little over 2 million. Microsoft is no stranger to working with Ubisoft on such deals either, with one recent example being The Division, which launched its first two expansions on Xbox One with a 30-day exclusivity window.

Just to keep the rumor mill churning, we’re going to guess it’s the recently teased Madden 18. We will find out soon enough, as E3 is just around the corner.

Rui Console Exclusivity Makes no sense... Some gaming companies think that having exclusive access will make people change console, however it doesn't it's a real shame that Microsoft didn't step their game up till just over a year ago.

I can see Microsoft gaining the likes of "Rockstar/Take Two" & interesting the likes of Activision back with what Scorpio can do. Console sales have proven that xbox is slowly gaining on Sony... However i believe Scorpio will be the console that switches the tables & sony will get their hands on Scorpio finding away to bring a more powerful console out the following year...
