Nintendo has announced that it will not host a large-scale press conference at this year’s E3 in June. This will come as little surprise to most fans, as Nintendo hasn’t held an E3 press conference since 2012.

“Again this year, we will not be hosting a large-scale press conference for institutional investors, analysts and the media,” Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima said during a recent financial briefing. “Nintendo of America will present further information on our plans at a later date.”

Presumably the company will follow the same formula that it’s used since 2013, which involves a Nintendo Direct broadcast followed by a number of Treehouse livestreams.
