A New Call Of Duty: WWII Promo Image Appears Online

4.6
The Call of Duty: WWII hype train continues to roll on as we patiently await the debut of its first gameplay tomorrow, which will take place via a live stream starting at 10 AM PDT. We’ll have full coverage of that, but today, we caught a sneak peek at the game- at least, the title screen for it.

Ben Simmons, an Australian basketball player who currently works alongside the Philadelphia 76ers, recently posted a new image on Instagram, noting that he was able to get an early look at the game. “Thank you for showing me how crazy this game is about to be,” he noted. “Can’t wait.”

As you can see from the image below, he managed to get in a pic of what appears to be either the title screen or the loading screen for Call of Duty: WWII, complete with the Sledgehammer Games logo located in the corner. This is a good indication of what kind of visual style the developer is going for, though we’ll obviously get a better look at in-game action once the gameplay makes its debut tomorrow.

It sounds like a few stars may have gotten a sneak peek at the game before its official unveiling, since a lot of people are gathered in London right now within its 24-hour launch window. A previous video from Sledgehammer Games confirmed that “a few guests” would be involved with the show, but didn’t name particular names. That could pertain to celebrities that are appearing in the game (like the rumored Josh Duhamel), but Activision could also bring out superstars to talk about features, or perhaps get some promotional stuff set up for it.

And this isn’t the first time that the publisher has brought in sports superstars to hype Call of Duty games, as others have been involved in the past, leading to some great promotion for each entry. Call of Duty: WWII could very well follow suit – and introduce new social features for the game as well. We’ll find out soon enough.

Call of Duty: WWII releases on November 3rd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
