Fable creator says Xbox 360 Kinect was “a disaster, trainwreck”
Speaking to IGN, the designer recalled the enormous premise of the original Kinect, and how it ultimately didn’t come close to the exciting initial reveal in the final product.
Molyneux revealed this when was asked by IGN how Fable: The Journey came to be. Though he wasn’t able to recall if Microsoft came to Lionhead with the idea or of it was the other way around, he certainly seemed to not remember Kinect fondly.
The interviews cover several games from Molyneux’s career, including Black & White, the original Fable, and the Curiosity Cube.

Xbox Damn right it was that's why I never invested in a Kinect and they sounded horrible coming through the headset, I mute everyone with a Kinect

Both kinects for the 360, and the one were just a god awful no.
They never worked good and were just an annoyance in my opinion.

Never had a kinect but I thought it was cool when they first announced it. It was something fresh which was nice for a change but unfortunately it didn't succeed.

I never had the Kinect for the 360 but i did have one that came with my xbox one and the only good thing about that kinect was the ability to tell the xbox like to do

I'd have to agree I think the kinect was a waste of money. I didn't purchase a Xbox One until it was sold desperately with out the kinect.

He's right, what I didn't like about it the most was the space limitations and how the device didn't read my hand signals a lot of the time. Had it been made how he described it then it would have been a pretty damn good device. P
