PlayStation 4 system software update 4.55 now available

4.3
The latest PlayStation 4 system software update is now available on PlayStation 4, but don’t get too excited.

Update 4.55 is now available to download on PlayStation 4 and has a single patch note: “This system software update improves the quality of the system performance.”

Last month, Sony released update 4.5 for the console that added support for external hard drives between 250GB and 8TB, made several improvements to PlayStation VR, added support for voice chat when using Remote Play, and added a new icon that shows when a player is online using an off-console app.

As well as these new features, the update also introduced Boost Mode on PlayStation 4 Pro. This new addition provides better performance for PlayStation 4 games that have not been updated to support the console.

Mitochondria There is no need for that much storage on a console ever in my honest opinion. Unless you are trying to install everything there is really. I can understand 40gb games on a console, but there is no need for 8TB worth of storage to be fair.

I love how out of a mostly useless article stating that the update is just fixing performance issues, people still find a way to comment and complain about the PS4 on this website. lol

Who said i was complaining? There is no need for 8TB on a console, for any reason what so ever. Notice how I didn't say "the PS4". I love how on a topic like this anyone can try to find something to argue about.
