Xbox backward compatibility adds two new games

4.6
The latest batch of Xbox One backward compatible games brings a big treat for strategy fans: Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution.

This spin-off of the Civilization series lets players control one of 16 different civilizations, each with a different leader, and attempt to grow the culture from a single settler’s village to a world power. This version of the Civilization formula features many different multiplayer options, allowing players to compete in one-on-one, two-on-two, and free-for-all modes for a spot on the leaderboards.

Also arriving to the Xbox backward compatibility program is Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, a Metroidvania-style multi-directional shooter that drops the player onto a hostile alien planet.

Both games should be available as part of the program today. If you missed any of the latest updates to the backward compatibility program, check out the full list on Major Nelson’s site.
