Battlefield 1 Breaks the Premium Play Wall

4.6
DICE announced today that they will now allow owners of Battlefield 1 premium to share the perks of the experience with standard players. ‘Premium Friends’ allows those players who purchased a Premium Pass to invite non-premium players to a party that can play on every map, regardless if they own the content or not.

This gives DLC access to players who haven’t purchased it via their friends who have and allows the whole community to play together as a whole.

A trial run of ‘Premium Friends’ will go live during the upcoming Battlefest that starts on March 30.

This is quite cool. Although, when my friend joined he didn't get any score or points whilst playing on the premium maps

Teovz This is real innovation that should happen all around the gaming industry. Glad they did this and I hope others catch on.

Couldn't have said it any better.

This is the single coolest thing I've ever heard them doing! One friend pays they all enjoy the benefits. Very neat!

not all franchises have the money like this. IF they did they WOULD lose, mass amounts yearly. This should be worth it and i'll probably be inviting some people throughout the next two days.

I doubt that they are losing much money on this. There are still features that you don't get, like the new weapons. So there is still motivation to get the premium, but It is nice to be able to try the DLC before committing to buying it.

Very well possible. Though this would mean their friends would have to wait for the one that has premium pass to get online. Could entice others to purchase the premium pass so they don't have to wait. But again it's a win/lose depending how it works out.
