Treyarch Adds Interaction to Black Ops’ MP Maps

4.6
Something that has really gone under the radar is the interactivity that Treyarch has implemented into Black Ops’ Multiplayer Maps. On the map Launch, there is a colossal rocket that lifts off during gameplay. This was first seen in the Teaser Trailer but, as time went on, we learned that players beneath the rocket would be incinerated. The catch? There is a bomb site on Search and Destroy directly beneath the rocket. Players will have to play a little more strategically than they may have played in previous Call of Duty games. On the map Radiation, there is a set of blast doors that can be opened/closed via a control panel which may prove to be a tactical advantage in many game modes. It may be in your best interest to have the doors opened, or you may be struggling to get them closed again: it all depends on your tactics for the game mode in play.
These are only two examples of the interaction in Black Ops’ MP maps, and it makes us wonder: what other surprises have Treyarch included?

No one? I highly doubt it.

Treyarch, as always, will add as many "cool" things to their games and remove an equal amount of functional things.

Sure, a rocket blasting off may be a cool final kill in SnD. The first time.

After that, you're stuck with an annoying feature that just makes the game worse and gets tiresome. Treyarch knows what they want to do, but simply lacks the relative ability to make those "cool" things work.

i can see the rocket becoming hated in S&D but i am glad they are trying to mix things up and give us something new

maybe treyarch would disable some of the interactive parts on SnD, like the rocket taking off, so that it would be fair. Clan matches are mostly on SnD too and one team may use the interactive parts like trapping them in the blast door if they were on radiation.

The first time I heard about all these interactive and animated maps, I thought, wow that's pretty cool. But after reading this, I realised that 3 out of the 4 maps we've seen have so far have used animated maps, like the blast doors, conveyerbelt, rocket. But with the many more maps still unseen, does this mean we will be seeing one on most maps, that would sure be fun. Or are they JUST showing the interactive maps to make the game look better and there really isn't any more.
